He was sick and hopeless until the Jesus Well came

Laul's days relentlessly passed by as his illness stole away his livelihood and plunged his family into poverty.
	When Laul got sick with a waterborne illness, typhoid fever, he lost his livelihood and couldn't provide for his five kids. He even sold everything he owned. But none of the doctors he visited could heal him. None of the treatments he underwent helped. Nothing he did could bring him back to good health. Laul even rejected anyone praying for him. Then their village received a Jesus Well that provided them with fresh, clean water—and it changed Laul's life in more ways than one. This couple visited a slum and they were stunned by what they saw

Take a journey with Amber as she tells of her recent visit to the slums...
	A couple on staff with Gospel for Asia had the opportunity to travel to the mission field and visit one of the largest slums in Asia. While they were there, they saw how important health and hygiene awareness is to those living in poor conditions. "It's stunning to hear some of the myths and misunderstandings in regards to health," Amber says. "For example, because cow dung is considered to be holy, it is used to treat all kinds of injuries and diseases—and even applied to a newborn's umbilical cord..."
