Madin worried about his children. He had escaped ridicule by moving to the slums, but poverty had followed him. He seemed doomed to live as an outcast with his children inheriting his fate.
Madin felt there was no way he could break this cycle of poverty until he met Amaan, a young Bible college student.

Raped at 13 years old, Kerensa grew up feeling ashamed and dirty. She sought to fill the emptiness inside with smoking, drugs, stealing—anything to give her a sense of peace. She got married and had a beautiful baby girl, but her husband abandoned her. It wasn't until she heard the story of Hosea and Gomer that she felt a glimmer of hope.
